My birthday wishlist...
I've got a birthday coming up real soon. June 22nd!
And what do I want? Well, since you asked...
How about a Yoda Backpack? Of course, I would need a studio scale At At replica to go with it.
I would wear a pair of these Five Fingers shoes if someone bought them for me, but I won't eat any Monkey Chow under any circumstances.
A GNU Universal Software Definable Radio board so I could get everything on FM radio all at one time would be great. Or the Create USB interface board for building custom musical/visual interfaces would be a lot of fun to fool with. One of these Pepper Pad Linux Handhelds with a 30 gb hard drive would be cool too, except you can't actually buy one yet. But then, if I could have any pie-in-the-sky pocket gadget made out of unobtainium, a All-In-One Card or a working nanofactory would be the coolest of all!
A copy of CrazyTalk would be fun; I would use pictures of friends and politicians and put my own words in their mouths. And, for a little Machinima action, a copy of IClone character animation software would go great with that. I could score it with GarageBand for the PC.
I've been wanting to build an electric bicycle for a while now. And I'd love to put together one of these wooden clock kits.
I'd really like this Tiki God Guitar. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I don't want a Tritare.
I'd be thrilled if I could attend the Robert A. Heinlein Centennial on July 6 through 8, 2007.
But, you know what I would really, really, really like? I'd like you to come to the Seattle Weblog Meetup on Wednesday, June 21st, and celebrate my birthday with Anita and me. We'll have cake and cherry pie for all. And, if you actually do want to buy me something, a beer would be perfect...
Related: My 2005 Christmas List. Of all people, John Scalzi actually bought me something from that one. I enjoyed meeting him at Wiscon and showing it to him. Maybe he will come out here to Seattle for the party?
